A friend of mine died the other day. We didn’t know each other well, but he was my friend. We’d talk on the phone and laugh and commiserate. We’d try to come up with ideas to make our website better or generate more views. In my mind, Sully was the guy who created our site. He had the ideas, he had the vision that somehow we could be a Barstool-lite. That seemed to be his vision But as with everything, life has different paths for all of us and we all moved on to different things, and from what I’m seeing and hearing, most if not all are doing great, and that in and of itself is a reward, at least to me. Forest Fires, Dumpster Fires, and some sports

Welcome to the beginning of the weekend. Normally this would be a weekend where people would be out and about taking advantage of outdoors. Unfortunately, how do you celebrate a weekend in August with COVID, Fires and Smoke and ash, and now the closure of more businesses because of our spike in COVID? Trips to the mountains and lakes are out, with roads to the ocean are blocked, and there’s fires there too. Stay home my friends. DNC Convention . OK, I saw it – and I wasn’t impressed. Not because I don’t agree with the platform, but because they march the same tired ass “leaders” out there. Look, I’m 55 years old and I’ve seen the same names for most of my life and quite frankly, I have to ask “what have they done?” Do they really, seriously want change, or do they just want to go back to the way that it was, which wasn’t working for those they claim to care about. Fridays, Hell, Politicians, and more about Summer

Welp, It’s Friday. Ain’t got no job, and don’t have shit to do except to write some drivel. So let’s get to it. So as Smokey said in the movie, “The weed be lettin’ ya know…evil lurks.” So what evil is out there? Evil #1 – The Cuyahoga . Damn man, that river caught fire again? 14 times it went on fire? Well according to Barstool a fuel tanker crashed on a highway and the ensuing fire leaked into the river via storm drains. Look, bashing Cleveland isn’t sport anymore – but if you were in Hell, the chances are the Cuyahoga River is going to be right there for you to swim in. Evil #2 – MTV Awards . Good Lord, who are you kidding with this? First off, MTV stopped playing music around, oh, I don’t know, 1990? Talk about Hell, while you're swimming in the Cuyahoga, you can listen to this shit. MTV may have been the worst thing for music - perhaps ever, even worse than Lawrence Welk....
