NFL Gone Fishin - Wild Card Round

VEGA$.  I will NEVER be a Raider fan, but when you talk about the 2021 Raidahs, that team has heart and guts, and any other positive cliche/adjective you want to add to it.  What's the line the kids use noawadays "put some respect on their name."

That new Coach should be given a chance, barring any unforeseen bullshit locker room stuff.  Vega$ is an up and comer and in the future, folks should be worried about this team.

One other thing, they have a first, second, and third round pick.  So, what is it that they need?  In my mind, a bit more time to gel, but being realistic, perhaps some depth at WR.

New England.  A few years ago, I said that this was New England's world, and we're just living in it.  Well, the AFC has caught up.

What the hell was that Saturday Night?  I honestly believed that was going to be a close game that could go either way.  One game doesn't make a season, not even a wild card game, but I was shocked by their inability to run and the Buffalo ability to run.

Strong running game, very good defense.  Given the projections back in September, all credit to New England to get to the dance in the first place with what they had.  26, 58, 86 are their first three round picks and I just wonder what the future holds there.  Again, the AFC has so many teams that are competitive, so they had better pick wisely.

Philly.  OK Philly fan, I can see how you would be frustrated by what happened down in Tampa and you should be, but it shouldn't take away from a surprisingly good season.  Now the question is how they grow and become competitive - at the very least with those slimeballs from Texas - the rulers of the NFC Least.

As for Sunday, don't let the score fool you, the defense played well, but that Eagle Offense absolutely killed the team.  When they had a chance in the 2nd Quarter, they kicked themselves in the nuts in the second quarter with some sloppy play that cost them AT LEAST 40 yards in penalties, and the return "specialist" was abysmal.

I get the talent wasn't the greatest on offense, but watching this game, it sure seems to me that the offense needs to be a bit more dynamic - and that's being kind.  Jalen Hurts IS NOT the answer as a passing QB.

The defense seems good enough, but they need a blow every once in a while.

And what the hell was going on with the Special Teams - how do you let punts bounce ten to twenty yards further than they should go?  Then muff a punt after a three and out for that defense?  Jesus...and stop with the "it was the wind" bullshit.

How do you make Philly a destination spot for Free Agents?  One of the problems this off-season is that you can't find a strong QB in the draft and the elite QB's aren't going to look for Cheesesteaks.

They've got three first round picks (15, 16, and 19).  Would they be willing to package something to draft higher?  If so, what do they look for?

Dallas.   So now we get to the off-season, which they will win the draft and free agency according to those same talking heads, they'll gain a playoff spot based on the scrub division they are in.  The fans will scream Super Bowl bound, and the NFL front office will pray to the gods for Dallas to win it all only for them to blow it once again in the first round.

OK, that's normal, but here's my question - how the hell wasn't Dallas ready for the sixty-niners?  They lost this game in the first quarter - so I don't want to hear about how they got robbed.

Pittsburgh.  These guys shouldn't have gotten as far as they did, and that says more about Indy and the Bolts.  Now there's going to be lots of change and a hell of a lot of questions.  You never put anything past the Steelers, but I'm not seeing how they get to the playoffs next year.

Arizona.  This is the one game I didn't watch but damn this sucks.  This year was a valuable lesson for the Zonies and one that might be bitter, but it should make them better next year.  What do they need in the off-season?  DEPTH!!!

Additional Point - to Tampa.  I'm starting to get irritated with all the smack that Tampa is running.  There's an old saying about Memo to the Bucs, you lost four games one to the Rams where you got smoked, one to Washington (are you kidding me?) and swept by Nawlins who was so hampered with injuries that there was no excuse.

Yeah, you beat Philly - a team that was nowhere near prime time.

Hey Yuks:  you ARE NOT the second coming, and you destroyed KC in last years Super Bowl because they (Chiefs) limped in with no offensive line and way too much arrogance.  How about being a little more humble, because the Rams are coming for you and it may not go the way you think.
