So it's early on November 4th and as I watch the TV, it seems as if Joe Biden is going to be the next President while the senate stays with the Republitards, and the House with the Demoncrats, which means Pelosi, McConnell are still in charge - and that is troubling. What changes? McConnell certainly isn't going to go along with Biden and Pelosi.
OK, with that backdrop, what changes? Nothing. What makes things better for our country? Frankly, I don't know. Yes some of you get your wish and Trump and all of his bluster and chaos are gone but are we trading one bad for another? Joe Biden frightens me just as much as Trump/McConnell.
My message to the Demoncraps is this: Congratulations - it looks like you're going to win, but it wasn't the blue wave that you all predicted, so now what? Don't mistake this for a mandate - this is about as divided as divided can be. Now you get to fix the problems that you identified and you will be held accountable for such.
Secondly, don't get smug and don't get arrogant - be humble and mean it. When you celebrate, don't get stupid, you will be watched. You bitched, moaned, cried, and complained about Trump and his bluster - so the first test is to see how you handle winning - don't be what you hate. You won because Donald Trump has a big fucking mouth and that people hate him - not because your ideas are better - hell I'm not even sure what your ideas are. Your margins of victory weren't what they were with Hillary Clinton so that tells me that you have work to do to shore up your base. If you go too far, then the pendulum will swing back in 2024.
Demographics are changing. It's slight and its slow, but both parties had better understand that there are unhappy people in their ranks. Republicans have pissed off a lot of people with the bluster, chaos, and their shift away from what they believed in - quite frankly they sold out. On the other side, did you notice that a growing number of minorities (not a lot by any means) are voting with Republicans and it affected some states.
So, what can Republiturds do? Well, to me it's pretty simple: stop being lazy and get into cities and explain your positions - look at what happened in Miami. Stand up and explain your positions and show how they could benefit minorities. Here's the thing - if they didn't notice the map, they lost Arizona, Georgia is razor-thin, so is Florida and Texas. If they don't do something about it, then they are going to be irrelevant by 2028. Secondly, the old guard needs to get out of the way: McConnell, Graham, and those others need to move on and I was saddened that they not only won, but won big - it didn't send the needed message. They are going to continue to act up while the rest of the Republiturds go in a different direction.
- I would add this - there is an election in 2022 and I don't know but how are you going to defend the Senate with the same old games? The Republicans are going to lose the Senate, it's just a matter of time if you continue to let McConnell run the Senate.
- Even more important - Trump needs to shut up in losing. It's messy but the vote is in.
Finally, stop whining Republiturds. You made a mistake - you thought that voting on the day of the election was going to be enough. You didn't make any noticeable effort to get folks to vote by mail. Learn from this and get people to understand that they can vote via the mail.
Listen, I have questions about the process, everybody does, but even IF you miracoulously come back and win - you have some serious work to do.
In the end, the message I have for ALL politicians is this: SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! It's time to get to work and you have to DO SOMETHING.

Stay well.
Unfortunately, it just seems to be a pipe dream. Everybody is so entrenched in what they believe there is no room for compromise or working towards a common goal.
Maybe we all should take the approach of businesses when they believe that gridlock is a good thing for them - that way there is no change.
